My first fine felted creation from Lena Archbold's master class. This opened the door for so many creations.
Soft, wonderful drape, thin Nuno felted wrap that can be worn in multiple ways.
Margilan silks of grey, yellow, and blue are the base for the addition of shapes cut from previously made scarf (yes it gave me pause the first time I cut one up😊).
A winding thin variegated yarn is complimented by sequins sprinkled throughout.
Next is a layer of Merino wool in Twilight then a blend of three colors of viscose.
A lengthy process (hours) of wet felting techniques result in a work of art.
Approximate length 76” x width 19”
Colors may vary based on your viewing screen.
Comes from a smoke free environment.
Always made with kindness, passed onto you!
Care: hand wash in cool water with mild soap, rinse thoroughly with cool water, soak for 15 minutes in water with white vinegar ~1/4 C. Rinse again, gently squeeze out water, roll in a towel and then lay flat. You can iron on the wool/silk setting on the viscose side. Spritz with water if you want gently reshape after washing. On silk side use a pillow case or paper towel to press since there are sequins.
Do not use washing machine or dryer as shrinkage may occur and or shape change.
